Today I heard the news and just cried. I visited Wes, Lori, and his family during the last conference weekend. I spoke with Phil and saw the decline of Wes. He remembered me and Megan, but could not remember our names. We talked for a bit. I’m so grateful for the time. I have always felt that being in the presence of Wes was an honor. I think about all the fun we had in Wyoming and other places. I remember when I dragged you guys out to work at Abbies to earn a few bucks. How fun it was to see you all work in that heat. I remember shooting you all in the rear for a brother’s honor. Just before Wes left on his mission, I quizzed him on the chapter headings from the Book of Mormon. He had them all down. I could not get him to miss a single one. It was so much fun to see his memory work. I loved this amazing group of young men and Wes was one of the mainstays! My thoughts and prayers are for Lori and the kids, the Truman family, and his group of friends. I know the Lord will take care of his family. How lucky I am to have been even a small part to Wes Truman’s life. Thank you Wes, it was an honor! You will be missed by many!
